Well the Harvey nominations were announced today, and I was nominated for Bets New Talent along with fellow Top Shelfer Christian Slade. My good buddy the ultra-talented Matt Kindt snagged 3 nominations! Congrats Matt and Christian.

Shuster Awards Win!!

I attended the 4th annual Joe Shuster Awards last night celebrating the best Canadian born comic book creators of 2007. I was nominated in the category of Best Canadian Cartoonist(Writer/Artist) for my work on The Essex County books, and I won!

It was a real thrill to be up against people like Darwyn Cooke and Julie Doucet, and the highlight of the night for me was when Darwyn congratulated me and told me how much he was rooting for me! All in all, a great night, and a real honor!
