Fan Expo Wrap Up

I had a great time at last weekends Fan Expo in Toronto, and had the pleasure of sitting next to the incredibly talented Leonard Kirk all weekend (whose new Captain Britain series with Paul Cornell is HIGHLY recommended by the way).

I was able to get an amazing Animal Man sketch from Brian Bolland which now adorns the wall above my drawing desk...amazing.

Also did a number of sketches for fans, a few of which I have included here...next up Baltimore Comicon in October. I'll be there with Matt Kindt, Christian Slade, Andy Runton and Chris Staros.

MY NEXT GRAPHIC NOVEL ANNOUNCED BY VERTIGO

http://personales.ciudad.com.ar/LoganSan666/imagenes/Vertigo/vertigo%20logo.jpg
This weekend at the New York Comicon, I was thrilled to take part in the "VERTIGO VISIONS" panel, where Executive Editor Karen Berger announced my next graphic novel, THE NOBODY.

The book will be part of an expanded line of Original Graphic Novels from the DC COMICS/VERTIGO line, and will be published in 2009!

I've been a fan of Vertigo, and the DC books that launched the line, and I'm thrilled to be working with Karen Berger, and my editor Bob Schreck on the book.

At this point, I can't say much about the plot, or details, but you can read a more here at Publisher's Weekly, or here at NEWSARAMA.

And, here is some early promo art to wet your appetites...

ESSEX COUNTY VOL.2 1/2: ONLY ONLINE!

The following is a short story which was originally drawn as part of the forthcoming Essex County: Volume 3: The Country Nurse (October). However, as Chris Staros and I started to edit the book, we realized it just didn't fit into the story I was trying to tell with the third volume, and has since been cut from the book.

However, I still like the piece, and thought I'd offer it here in two parts. So here is Part 1 of The Essex County Boxing Club:

RECENT COMMISSIONS

Here are a couple of recent commissioned pieces I did...The first is a portrait of Arthur C. Clark, by way of 2001: A Space Oddessy. More great literary portraits can be seen at Steven Gettis' site. The second is of course 70's Marvel character ROM SPACEKNIGHT, for an upcoming tribute benefit for bronze-age comic writer Bill Mantlo.
